Today is National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day! And y’all know what that means! Today is the Cookie Monster’s day to eat all the chocolate chip cookies he wants to eat!
He doesn’t have to worry about Big Bird and them telling him about eating all of the chocolate chip cookies because the day is his day to eat all the chocolate chip cookies.
Now…y’all know, those other characters on Sesame Street are going to try and hide the chocolate chip cookies from the Cookie Monster?
I can just hear them now, “You can’t eat all of the chocolate chip cookies. You have to save some for us too.”
They’re just haters though. But, the Cookie Monster doesn’t have anything to worry about because he is, after all, the cookie monster.
He is the most successful chocolate chip cookie thief ever. Little kids don’t have anything on the Cookie Monster when it comes to grabbing and eating a cookie.
There’s no hiding place that he will not find. In a pot, under a pillow, or on a tray surrounded by fake chocolate chip cookies, the Cookie Monster will find that chocolate chip cookie. He just has the nose and eyes for it.
He can spot a chocolate chip cookie a mile away, while also sniffing out a chocolate chip cookie that is covered in cinnamon and sugar on a plate.
But y’all see, we’re really no different from the Cookie Monster. We love chocolate chip cookies too. That’s why we have a National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day.
There are some grown folks, somewhere, right now, hiding in a work closet, eating a chocolate chip cookie and drinking milk.
It’s just something about that chocolate chip cookie and milk that is calming.
You get yourself a chocolate chip cookie, a glass of milk, and go off to a quiet place and just zone off.
The chocolate chip cookie and milk takes your mind to places that your dreams can’t take you to.
